High pressure remains in charge, change next week - January 18, 2017

High pressure remains in charge this week with overnight frosts continuing, harshest across EA/S/SE. A change next week with mild SSW winds developing. Attached video shows sea level pressure and 850hpa temperatures from the GFS model. The greens, blues and purples represent colder air with yellows and oranges representing milder air. No signs of ‘proper’ winter weather returning.
