Warning for Snow – Saturday 4th Jan 2014- Like us on Facebook
Regions affected: Scotland, Northern England, Northern Ireland
A band of rain will push Northwards across the UK during Saturday. As the rain meets some colder air across the North of the UK it is likely to turn to snow. The snow is likely to be primarily above 200m across the Southern Uplands, the highest peaks of the North Pennines and later The Highlands too, but in any heavier bursts of precipitation across Eastern parts of Northern Ireland and the far North of England the snow could fall to lower levels at times too. Above 200m in the affected areas there is the risk of up to 5cms of snow during Saturday afternoon.
Warning has now expired.
